The request for this stunning family set was a black and white palette, with a little blue or pop of color being acceptable. It is totally doable to do grayscale tie dye! In ice dyeing there can always be surprises in how a color splits when the dripping water picks up each grain of dye and travels with it through the fabric, so it is always possible for a small hint of color to pop up when using gray dyes. For the little baby girl I chose a deep purple that splits into deep charcoal. Her brother, got a sweet “X” tee with little pops of blue. Mom received a different “X” design that imitates stained glass. Finally, Dad got a Family Constellation with a honeycomb design down the sleeves.
